Your Perfect Vancouver Island Send-Off to Summer

Vancouver Island View

As summer winds down, there’s still plenty of time to squeeze in a few more adventures. I’m sharing three ways to celebrate the end of the season while making the most of everything Vancouver Island has to offer.

🚗 Take a Mini Road Trip Along the Oceanside Route
This is my personal favourite scenic drive on the island. Winding along the coastline, it’s the perfect way to explore smaller, charming communities while enjoying incredible views. A simple trip that feels like a getaway.

🎡 Experience the Magic of Fall Fairs
From late August through early October, every weekend brings another chance to celebrate at one of Vancouver Island’s lively Fall Fairs. Whether you’re after homemade treats, live music, or family fun, there’s a fair for you.

🌲 Explore This Month’s Hidden Gem
Everyone knows about Cathedral Grove, but did you know there’s another stunning old-growth stand that’s just as breathtaking—without the crowds? This secret spot is the perfect place to reconnect with nature in peace.

This week I’ve got three goodies for you: a brand-new Fall Itinerary, a playful list of haunted places (it’s that time!), and an ebook deal you’ll want to grab before it disappears. 5-Night Fall Itinerary Think scenic detours, salmon-run lookouts, forest walks, and storm-watching cozy-ups. Vancouver Island View As the seasons shift, Vancouver Island shows off a quieter kind of beauty. While the east coast of Canada is famous for fiery displays of maples, our forests here take a different approach. I’ve refreshed my Fall Foliage article with the best spots to see these...
